Indoor Play

It's been pretty cold and snowy here lately.  Luckily, Sarah has a LOT of stuff to do indoors to keep herself busy!  Like reading to a giant stuffed elephant...

...or wrestling with Daddy and the giant stuffed elephant...

...or playing in a tunnel with a giant stuffed elephant...

...or playing with a balloon all by yourself...

...in the tunnel...

KICK!

Another thing Sarah has started doing recently is taking the wedding photo of me and Tom over to the stairs and talking to it.  She always says, "Mommy.  Daddy.  Happy."  It's so cute!

Of course, sometimes when it's too cold to go outside, sometimes we just dream about it...

Ready to go - just in case!

Snackin'

Sarah went through a period of about 3 weeks where she just wasn't interested in food.  That phase has passed!  She's back to eating a lot, and she really enjoys the freedom that comes with having a vocabulary that allows her to make requests. (We hear "cookie" about 15 times a day!)  Luckily, she enjoys a wide variety of foods.  Some current favorites are bacon, Mandarin oranges, cheese, scrambled eggs, berries (straw, black, and rasp),  nuggets (chicken), dogs (hot) and sauce (apple).

Here she is enjoying a hot dog from the amazingly cute (and helpful!) hot dog cutter Adam and Megan got her for Christmas.  YUM!

Snow Day

On December 30, we got our first snow day of the year - YIPPEE!!!

Sarah was terrified of the snow.  And I do mean TERRIFIED.  She wanted nothing to do with it.  The most I could get her to do was cower in the garage while her daddy and I shoveled the driveway.  And, of course, she had to bring all of her toys with her...

Eventually, she got brave enough to put her bug box in the small pile of snow I had brought over for her to investigate...

She was much, much happier inside reading books!

And what good is a snow day without a little dress up time?!
