Sleepy

Sarah is a terrible sleeper.  She gave up naps crazy early.  She fights going to bed at night.  And she frequently wakes up in the middle of the night - sometimes more than once.   Despite all of this, however, the conversations I have with her at bedtime are one of my favorite things about being her mommy.

Recently, Sarah has started telling me how much she loves me.  She says that she loves me all the way to outer space.  She says that she loves me all the way from the North Pole to Mars.  She says that she loves me from outer space until Christmas.  And then she demands to know how much I love her...mostly so that she can out-do me with how much she loves me.

48 Weeks Old

April 1 - April 7

This weekend, Kate had her first-ever trip to see the Easter Bunny. She did better than her big sis (who, by the way, is still scared of the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and anything else in costume!).

She also attended her first Easter Egg Hunt at Asbury Church!

She and Daddy were both clearly impressed by the hunt...

But she did enjoy shaking the eggs (and putting them in her mouth) once the hunt was over!

Easter morning was no different - everything went in her mouth!

Luckily, the Easter Bunny knew to bring her treats that are SUPPOSED to go in your mouth!

She watched as Sarah picked up eggs around our yard...

...and then watched as Sarah picked up eggs around Grammie and PaPa's yard!  Luckily, she had PaPa to play with for this hunt!

Happy Easter, Kate! Next year you'll get to participate - I promise!

Easter 2015

We had a very busy but fun Easter this year! It started with the baskets that the Easter Bunny had left at our house. Sarah got some Paw Patrol toys and socks.

Kate got some baby snacks.

After baskets, we went to the yard to collect eggs. The Easter Bunny surprised all of us by leaving some eggs in the front yard (thank you, whoever you were!), and then we moved into the backyard where we KNEW the bunny had left eggs!

While Kate had her morning nap, Sarah and I joined the neighborhood gang for an egg hunt in the Bursons' backyard!

The Easter Bunny had left one golden egg for each girl at the Burson house.

Sarah got to trade her golden egg for a puzzle (which we have put together about 5 times a day since then!).

Sarah emptied her eggs...

....then posed for a few pictures for me. Can you tell how excited she was to do that?!

Then it was time to head to Grammie and PaPa's house for brunch and the third Easter egg hunt of the day!

Kate and PaPa supervised. I'm pretty sure Kate was taking notes for next year!

We took a few family photos, and then had some yummy brunch!

The girls had a fantastic Easter, and we can't wait until next year when our new cousin will be celebrating with us!
