Adult Responsibilities

It's hard being a grown-up. You have so many responsibilities!  You have to rake leaves and take care of babies and drink coffee...

Luckily, Sarah has those things covered!

Of course, when being an adult gets old, Sarah remembers how to have fun!  Look at the ornery little monkey destroying the leaf pile her daddy worked so hard to make!

The poor kid has also been working on her last set of molars for the last two weeks.  She walks around with her fingers in her mouth most of the day.  Luckily, the giant pile of leaves she had been playing in was super clean...

Fall Photos

Fall leaves can be so gorgeous.  Most of them are reds or oranges or yellows or purples.  Oak leaves, however, are not gorgeous.  They're brown and gross...and we have a yard full of them.  Luckily, Sarah likes to throw them in the air regardless of their less-than-beautiful appearance!

Here she is pre-leaf hat...

...and here she is wearing a handful of leaves!

Of course, we had to spend some time running in the leaves.  This might have been easier if she hadn't insisted on wearing her orange dress shoes, but she had a good time either way!

These are my favorite pictures of the day, though!

Sarah ended her afternoon playtime with one of her favorite activities - driving the Cozy Coupe in small circles on the deck.

Finish that off with some playdough time, and you have one fantastic fall afternoon!

Misc October

Here are some pictures that didn't quite fit in anywhere else but still show a little of what we were up to throughout October!

Sarah loves to eat pancakes.  She also loves animals!  Mommy splurged and bought her a pan that makes pancakes with animal faces.  What a nice mommy!

We've worn a lot of K-State gear this month.  Some outfits were chosen by Mommy...

...and some were chosen by Sarah!

Sarah also remains a big fan of climbing.  Here are a few of this month's summit attempts:

My favorite improvisational jungle gym was the sink at the pediatrician's office during her 18-month check-up.  80%ile in weight, 90%ile in height, 95%ile in head circumference, 100%ile in climbing!!!

She doesn't just climb - she also does yoga!

Sarah didn't get to attend any K-State games this season, but Mommy did!  Construction on the new expansion has started.  It's weird to think that Sarah will never know the stadium once looked like this!

The Wildcats dominated both games I attended.  Check out this record!

We ended October ranked #2 in the nation!  GO CATS!!!

The best part of the games, though, is the people I get to spend time with!  Adam and I went to the KU game together, and Leigh and I attended the Texas Tech game with the Perkins family (including Dan's service dog, Radcliffe!).  Good times!
