Easter Eggs

For the past three years, I've used silk ties to dye eggs. This year, Sarah got to experience the full-on Paas egg dye kit! She had a blast, and it was less work for me. Maybe we'll try this again next year!

Asbury Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we met up with the Talboys and the Lamberts for an Easter egg hunt at Leslie's preschool. The highlight of the Asbury hunt is always the appearance of the Easter Bunny himself! The fact that the kids then get oodles of candy-filled eggs immediately after that helps, too.

Sarah loved finding eggs!

Kate just hung out with Daddy and tried to power through morning nap time.

Sarah was thrilled with her haul.

She got lots of candy to eat!

Kate was content to just eat the eggs...this year!

Spring Pictures

So Easter is fast approaching, and the trees in our neighborhood are in full bloom. I hoped to get some good shots of the girls playing in the backyard, but I ended up just bribing them with pink Peeps. I mean, Peeps are the true meaning of Easter, right?

Here's where Sarah learned she was getting Peeps!

I tried putting them on sticks in the hopes of avoiding sugar-coated everything. Don't be fooled. Everything is more fun to eat on a stick, but it did nothing to control the stickiness!

I also let Kate try a Peep! Stupid, I know...

Look at that mouth! She clearly enjoyed herself.

We tried a few Easter pictures of the two girls and then called it a night. Not a bad start to Peeps season for these two!

47 Weeks Old

March 25 - March 31

I wanted to take some pictures of Kate outside this week. She has been loving (LOVING!) being outside so much, and will try to crawl through the door the instant that it opens!

Just like her big sister, this amazing toy from Uncle Adam has been a favorite for Kate. I think it's hilarious that everything she does is done with her tongue out! (For the record, that comes from her daddy, not me!)

Kate also loves standing on the bench in our gazebo - she's just the right height to look out at everything in the yard from there!

Oh! And she also turned 11 months old this week! How can we be this close to one?!?
