Some of you may be more skilled than I am at reading an ultrasound. To you I say, "Congratulations. That is a talent I will never possess." To the rest of you who are as lost in the hazy black-and-white pictures as I am, all I can say is that there was a definite heartbeat!
This morning, Tom and I were able to see our baby's tiny heart pounding away at 122 beats per minute. (No wonder I'm so tired, kid!) We were also able to hear it, which was an absolutely amazing moment for the two of us! I'm super happy Tom was able to be there for all of it, so if you happen to see his boss around, be sure to tell him, "Thanks for taking the week off!"
