23 Weeks Old

August 29 - September 4

This was a pretty low-key week!  Sarah enjoyed trying some new foods (pears, carrots and bananas) and having some after-school playtime with Mom.  This is SO the best part of my day...

Sarah is also really losing her hair at this point!  It's been hilarious to watch her bald spot grow.  I keep trying to get Tom to hold her next to his head so I can get a shot of their matching bald spots, but he's been kind of a stick-in-the-mud about it.  I think it would be classic.  :)

We also finally got a break in the weather this weekend!  Sunday was gorgeous - sunny and 75.  We spent a lot of time hanging out on the deck and letting Sarah watch the trees.  It was windy, so the leaves bounced back and forth in the sunlight and Sarah kicked her arms and legs with joy!  It's so fun to watch her just LOVE the little things we don't even notice in our busy adult lives!!

Sunday afternoon, we took Sarah down to the Kansas City Irish Festival.  Grammie and Grandpa Jeff met us down there, and we also got to spend a teeny bit of time with my friend, Sandra, who was in town from Denver for the weekend.  Sarah didn't enjoy the loud music from the main stage, but she seemed to enjoy the "trad" music from the smaller stages.  We'll wait until she's older to let her try the Guinness!
