Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

This was Sarah's second Easter, but it's the first one she really participated in!  The first activity of the day was an Easter egg hunt in the living room at our house.

With a little help from Daddy, she figured out that there were things INSIDE the eggs.  What a surprise!

Or you could just wear half of the enormous egg like a hat...

Off to see what the other eggs have in them!

We took Sarah to church for Easter Sunday.  She made it through the first 15 minutes and even went up to be blessed at communion time...

...but then fell apart in front of the entire congregation during the Children's Message!  (She really wanted to eat the Easter lilies on the alter - I was mean and wouldn't let her.)  Needless to say, we spent the rest of the service outside keeping her happy!  Luckily, Daddy was there to toss her into the air a few times.

She also really enjoyed sniffing (but certainly not pulling the petals off) the flowers.

After church, we went back to Grammie and Grandpa's house for Easter lunch.  It turns out the Easter Bunny had been there, too!

Easter baskets are fun, but Sarah had places to go!

She also had things to transport.  She had three things to carry - lucky that she's so innovative!

Finally, we sat down to a delicious lunch.

Lunch was followed by some super fun bubble blowing in the backyard, courtesy of Daddy and Uncle Adam! 



And bubble blowing was, of course, followed by a THIRD Easter egg hunt. This one was at the Perkins' house across the street from Grammie and Grandpa's house. They are the nicest people, and they wanted to include Sarah in their hunt! Abby was there to help make sure Sarah found a few eggs, too.

Sometimes eating your basket may be more fun than filling it.

If you don't like the way it tastes, you can always wear it!

Abby to the rescue!  She brought Sarah an egg filled with confetti.  Sarah had lots of fun shaking the egg to make the confetti fly out... 

...and then she decided to eat that egg, too.

By the end of the day, though, she had this Easter egg thing figured out! 

We went inside the Perkins' house to see their bunny, Snickers.  We also got to meet Abby's cat and play on the piano for a while!

Finally, Grandpa took Sarah on a piggyback ride across the street, and then we went home!  What a fun (but exhausting!) Easter!
