So we waited 9 months to baptize our child. But we did do it! And despite the fact that we didn't have a church that felt like home (and despite the fact that it was Pastor Joe's second Sunday at Faith and our first-ever visit to Faith!), I couldn't have hoped for a better service and baptism for my daughter. Faith Lutheran is a lovely little church, full of light and love - just like Kate! The congregation was welcoming and kind, and Pastor Joe is just the person Tom and I wanted to baptize Kate. We're so blessed, in so very many ways...
Adam and Megan and Lizzie and Will are Kate's godparents. What a lucky little girl she is!
There is so much love in this girl's life!
After the baptism, we went over to Grammie and PaPa's house for a bit. Grammie had gotten a cake and made some yummy brunchy snacks for everyone.
Sarah and Grammie had even made a banner for Kate!
It may have taken us a long, long time to get her baptized, but I'm so glad we waited until it was meaningful for us rather than just easy for us. Kate is one blessed little girl, and we are so glad to help her start her (belated) journey as one of God's children!
