31 Weeks Old

October 24 - October 30

We had our first cold snap this week, so we hit the park Monday night to get in some swinging and leaf-viewing before the cold weather drove us inside.  Sarah loves to look at trees so much - I just don't know what she'll do all winter!

Checking out the geese at Antioch Park!  We usually just see ducks when we go to South Lake Park, so she was pretty taken by these Big Ducks...

The trees were so pretty at the park!  Despite this fall being so incredibly dry, the leaves really are gorgeous.

Playing with Daddy:

Another of Sarah's favorite outdoor things is the wind.  She giggles so much when the wind blows in her face!  It's even better if the wind ruffles her hair!!

Hanging in the swings! (There was a "big girl" in the swing next to her that really fascinated her!)

Gearing up for Halloween!  Check out the super cute pumpkin hat that Sarah's honorary grandma, Nana Bev, knitted for her.  Too bad Sarah refuses to leave hats on for more than 30 seconds!

Mommy doesn't knit, but I DO sew!  This little Halloween quiet book is my most recent achievement.  Sarah likes to pull the ghost out of its holder and chew on it.  She also likes to pull on the legs of the spider!  We've been playing with it for a couple of weeks now, and it amazed me how quickly she figured out that the witch doesn't do anything and the bat just crinkles.  BORING!  She just blows past those two pages to get to the more interesting ones!

On Saturday, we geared up for game day!  I bought this shirt for Sarah last fall at the first football game of the season.  My baby bump wasn't even showing yet!  Now it's almost too small on her!!!

K-State lost handily this weekend, so I guess I'm not going to consider this her "lucky" K-State shirt!

Other cute pictures from this week:

Look at her on all fours!  She gets herself up there and rocks back and forth now.  Look out, world - crawling is coming soon!!!
