December 26, 2011 - January 1, 2012
We had a fantastic week this week! Tom and I were both home, so we got to spend some quality time with Sarah. We also got to spend some quality time with friends we don't get to see very often, which was nice, too!
On Monday, Tom met up with his friend, Matt. On Tuesday, I got to have lunch with Eric and Lyn. On Wednesday, Tom "worked" from a cigar bar with his friend, Dan. On Thursday, I met up with a bunch of the lovely ladies from work for a Pinterest party (we all had to make and bring something that's been pinned on our Pinterest board for a while). And on Friday we rested!
We also got some play time with Sarah in there. Monday night, Sarah watched the Independence Bowl with Tom and helped to cheer on the Tigers. They did just fine without her help, though, and everyone was in good spirits after a solid win. M-I-Z...
On Thursday, when the weather was sunny and close to 60 degrees outside, we walked to the park.
Other things Sarah enjoyed doing this week - crawling under, over and through anything and everything she came across...
When she wasn't in the furniture, she was in Daddy's lap. She really enjoys books right now, and will sometimes even sit still for us to read to her!
Sarah also enjoyed sitting in her exersaucer. The afternoon sun makes our family room really bright in the winter, and Sarah and Pickle both enjoy spending time in the warm rays.
Another thing Sarah and Pickle enjoy together is high chair time! Sarah got to try Goldfish crackers for the first time this week...which means that Pickle got to try them for the first time, too! Here she is sharing a Mum-Mum with the dog:

Saturday was New Year's Eve. We celebrated at home - even if Sarah didn't appreciate the holiday cheer!

On Sunday, Grammie and Grandpa Jeff came by for a bit while Tom was out watching football with the guys. They brought some black-eyed peas, which my Great Grandma Cox used to have my dad eat for good luck on New Year's Day. We let Sarah try her luck at a legume (after Grammie dressed her up in her New Year's finest) - and she seemed to enjoy eating it!
