June Overview

Here are some of the fun things we did in June that didn't quite fit into a blog post of their own:

Breakfast popsicles (yogurt frozen in popsicle molds) on the deck were a lot of fun...and a lot of mess!

Mom's hydrangeas and roses were beautiful despite the drought (and little hands trying their best to pull them out of the vase all day).

Sarah likes to stir the pot - literally!

Sarah also loves to sit on the deck and watch the neighborhood animals.  She really likes bunnies, dogs, and birds - and will shout whenever she sees one!

Sometimes being on the deck is hard, though...especially when the screen door is closed and the TV show you want to watch is on inside!  Sarah solved this problem by sticking her face into the screen...

Her other favorite thing to do has been to find "cold air" all over our house.  Any old vent will do, but the best one is the floor vent in the family room.  That girl will come running as soon as the air conditioning kicks on to sit on top of the vent!

Sarah also loves all things book.  She will sit and read a book more often than she will play with her toys.  Recently, she's discovered that she can get a bunch of books into our big chair with her and not have to come down until she's ready to!

Another thing Sarah has become interested in is people's faces.  She'll point out your nose, your ears and your teeth.  She will also pull off your sunglasses and wear them herself...

Sarah has also developed a destructive streak when it comes to the kitchen.  She likes to eat one or two bites of things and then throw them on the floor (Pickle has no complaints about this tactic).

She also figured out how to scoot a chair over to the refrigerator to get herself some water whenever she feels like it.  (Luckily, our refrigerator has a lock built in.)  She doesn't even need a glass!
