Decorating for Christmas

This weekend, we put up our Christmas decorations.  Sarah and I have been working hard on "one finger touch" (code for "it's okay to touch with one finger, but please don't grab and smash!"), and after two days of bringing me random ornaments she has hand-selected from the tree, I'm happy to say that she is leaving the tree alone!

Here are a few of the things that have distracted her from the Christmas tree over the last several days:

1. Playing on Mommy's iPhone with stuffed Santa

2. Taking off her clothes and checking out other decorations around the house

3. Taking off her clothes and working on a Christmas-themed velvet painting

4. Taking off her clothes, putting on a scarf, and sitting with Grammie while Mommy cuts Grammie's hair

5. Taking off her clothes and playing hide-and-seek behind the living room chairs

6. Taking off her clothes and playing hide-and-seek with the felt Christmas tree Mommy made her to provide her with a tree and ornaments she didn't have to use "one finger touch" with

7. Taking off her clothes and sneaking an ornament or two off the tree (it's always either the Poky Little Puppy ornament or the My Goodness My Guinness ornament!)

8. Taking off all her clothes and decorating her felt tree...and then ripping off all the ornaments and running around the house with them in her fists

At least the weather has been warm enough that it's not an issue for her to be naked for the last week!
