16 Weeks Old

August 20 - August 26

This week flew by and I was terrible about taking pictures!  As means of an explanation (but not an excuse!), it WAS my first full week with students back at school...

I did manage to capture this adorableness, though!  We've started to read bedtime stories to the girls on Sarah's bed at night after they have shared a bath.  Melt my heart!

Daddy took this one of me reading with the girls a few nights later.  Almost as cute!

Daddy also loves Pickle enough to document her existence.  Sorry pups.  You'll probably show up in lots more photos once Kate starts eating solid foods!!!

Also this week, Kate had her four month checkup with Dr. Rawson!  Or at least it was supposed to be with Dr. Rawson.  We got a phone call on Friday saying that Kate's appointment for Monday needed to be rescheduled because Dr. Rawson was out on "medical leave."  So we rescheduled for Tuesday and saw Dr. Locke.  She's very nice and gave Kate the a-okay (not to mention a round of immunizations!), but she's no Dr. Rawson.

Then, when we were making our appointment for Kate's six-month checkup, we were told that Dr. Rawson won't be returning to the practice at all!  We're so sad that she won't be around to see our girls grow, but we understand that she needs to take care of herself more than anyone else.  Luckily, we like most of the other doctors at Johnson County Pediatrics, so it wasn't the end of the world when we had to choose a different pediatrician!  From now on, Kate and Sarah will see Dr. Riffle for their checkups.  Let's hope she sticks around for a while!!!
