Today it rained. And not a little "oh, good - the grass needs this" kind of rain. This was a "holy crap - we need an ark" kind of rain! To give you some perspective, this is what our backyard looked like:
The girls' playhouse became lake-front property!
By the grace of God, the water did not come into the house in any way, shape or form! To celebrate, I took the girls out front to check out the damage once it stopped pouring.
Sarah tried to help keep Kate out of the rain, but Kate would have none of it!
She would, however, use an umbrella as a teether...
Sarah took her umbrella and started running through the river in our side yard.
Eventually, she ditched the umbrella (and all pretense of doing anything other than getting herself soaking wet) to begin jumping and running in the water.
Kate took a different approach.
She figured out that the scooter wasn't such a good idea pretty quick, though!
All things considered, all that rain turned out to be a good time!
