5 Weeks Old

April 25 - May 1

This week marked a lot of new developments!  Sarah has been smiling more and more and at a LOT of different people!  So far, Grandpa Jeff has gotten the most smiles with a "Howdy-doody-doo!" to his granddaughter.  It's so fun to see him try to recreate his experience with his own grandpa for Sarah.  Grandpa Jeff makes a great stand-in for Grandpa Cox, complete with whispered promises for doughnuts and green ice cream in the future!

Sarah has also started blowing bubbles, holding her head up for longer periods of time during tummy time, and tracking objects 180 degrees!  She also loves windows and ceiling fans, but what baby doesn't?!

Other fun things this week included a visit from Matt and Rachel and their boys (who are SUPER cute!) and another play date with Brooklyn and Everett.  Note the matching outfits the girls are sporting!

Sarah was also diagnosed with reflux this week.  After two days of eating a little and then screaming, we went to the doctor.  She's taking liquid Zantac and is doing a lot better now!  I'm glad we got things figured out, but it was nice to have her awake all day - she was sleeping up to 10 hours at night to make up for it!  I'd rather have a happy tummy for her than a long night of sleep for me, though!!!
