July 18 - July 24
Wow! Could anything else have happened this week?! On Thursday, Sarah turned 4 months old. It's so hard to believe that she's this old!!!
To celebrate this milestone, we started using the "Johnny Jump-Up" (aka The Bouncy Seat). She's old enough to stand up in it, but not so old that she understands the seat is for bouncing and not for gnawing!
She's also not old enough to fend off attacks by Pickle! Luckily, she doesn't seem to mind being randomly licked in the face...
Due to the continued extreme heat, we let Sarah try her kiddie pool this week, too. It was a little small for Mommy AND Sarah, but we made it work! (I think it will be more fun for us both when she can sit up on her own!) Sarah looked super cute in her shark robe after the swim, too.
On Saturday, Sarah was baptized. We had a small, informal family gathering at Atonement Lutheran Church for the 5:00 service, and then we went back to Grammie and Grandpa Jeff's house for a little reception afterward. Sarah's Uncle Adam and Cousins Carrie and Josh are her godparents, and we feel so blessed to have them in her life!
Another fun thing about the baptism was the dress Sarah wore at the reception. It's actually one of MY old dresses - I just took off the collar and added a big flower to "update" the look!
That's right. She looks NOTHING like me. I still claim her as my own! :)
