January 16 - January 22
This week's photo is not great. It is, however, the best I could do considering that Sarah was really sick on Monday and hardly in the mood to have her photo taken! The poor kiddo had a really bad cold (complete with a fever) and was just miserable all day Monday. We went to the doctor and were told that it's just a virus - something she'll just have to "wait out." With that useful information in our pockets, we went home and cuddled for the rest of the day. And it was Friday before she returned to daycare. Poor monkey! (P.S. Tom was a great dad and stayed with her so I could go to school and supervise my student teacher - be sure to praise him next time you see him!)
Needless to say, there weren't a lot of photos taken this week. We took her 10 month photos on Saturday, which was a struggle. It's more fun to climb OUT of the chair than to sit IN the chair these days. Check out this wingspan, though...
This is the one we chose as her "official" ten month photo:
When we were done with the pictures, we tried some playtime in the kitchen. She wasn't up to her usual energy level, but she sure knows how to add a little color to the room!

And her work has been completed. Off to find something else to pull out of a cabinet or off a shelf!
On Sunday, we saw Sarah return to close to her old, healthy self. She crawled and pulled up to show off her cranky pants...
Her appetite hasn't returned all the way yet, but she sure put away the pear on Sunday! She ate half a pear (no exaggeration!) - but decided to keep a bit to snack on later...
Tom and I couldn't stop laughing at this! It was even funnier once we realized that the pear juice made her hair stand up in the front, while the static electricity from her highchair made it stand up in the back!
All in all, it was a strange week (capped off by a thunderstorm Sunday night) - we're hoping for a happier, healthier week next week!
