This year, Halloween was one big party all day long! Sarah started her morning with a party at daycare. We sent her in the ghost costume I had made because I thought it would be more comfortable for her than her frog costume. Super cute, huh? (Notice how she left the hair bow in for one whole picture before it just became a toy?)
Here she is with all of her daycare friends!
She had lots of fun at the party, and she loved the treat bags that the kids brought. She really, really loved the playdough from Kellie and Veronica, though! We played with it all afternoon...
Daddy came home around 5:15 and we had some dinner. Then it was time to get in our costumes! Pickle went first.
Then it was Sarah's turn!
She remembered that candy goes in the bag, but she seemed to be concerned that the bag was empty!
Luckily, there was one sucker left in the bag from when we went to the Trick-or-Treat Trail! She popped it in her mouth and we were off to trick-or-treat at our neighbors' houses.
We were bad parents and didn't carve her pumpkin this year. (I'm not sticking my hands in pumpkin goo until she appreciates what I'm doing for her!) Instead, we just put out the ghost lantern and called it good!
At the end of our driveway, we ran into Sarah's friend, Eliza. She lives up the street from us and was headed to our house to trick-or-treat. Isn't her costume cute?
Then we were off to do some trick-or-treating, too!
Sarah's favorite part of the night was taking a piece of candy and putting it in her bag all by herself. She's such an independent little froggy!
After saying thank you to our neighbors for the yummy treats, we headed back home to hand out our own treats. As soon as we were in the door, Sarah was ready to get that costume off!
Wait! Someone just rang our doorbell!
Sarah helped Daddy pass out some candy...
...and then went right back to taking her costume off!
We were generous and let her eat one piece of candy (a Twix bar) while we answered the door for trick-or-treaters.
She had just finished her treat when her friend, Grace, rang the doorbell! What a cute Boise State cheerleader!!!
Grace and her mommy and daddy hung out until around 7:30, and then it was off to bed for both girls. Not a bad little Halloween for my favorite pumpkin!
