Today was Sarah's first experience with trick-or-treating. We didn't really take her out last year, but she's old enough to have some real fun this year!
This afternoon was the Trick-or-Treat Trail at Matt Ross Community Center. We grabbed Grammie and Pa-Pa and headed over to Downtown Overland Park. It was a good thing that Sarah was in a happy mood, because the line was out the door when we got there! We made it inside pretty quickly, though, and Sarah got to see some inflatable Halloween decorations, get some candy, and run around in her frog costume for awhile. I think she had a good time!

She loved the inflatables. They may have been the highlight of the entire experience for her! (Please note, Grammie, that this does NOT mean we need one in our yard next year!!!)
The Trick-or-Treat Trail wound through the community center and out across their patio. It was full of hay bales and pumpkins, so we posed for lots of pictures!
We ran into Sarah's friend, Isaac, while we were there. The two of them are the only one-year-olds at daycare, and they are good buddies. They weren't quite sure of what to do with each other - they both looked funny and were in the wrong setting. They were both into the pumpkins, though!
We ended our time at Matt Ross by letting Sarah oogle the fantastic indoor pool they have there. I think we'll have to go up sometime this winter and play, play, play!

After all that was over, we went back to Grammie and Pa-Pa's house to meet up with Uncle Adam and Megan, who just got back from a week in Italy! We looked at pictures and caught up on stories, and Sarah got to eat the cupcake her friend, Finley, had given her at the Trick-or-Treat Trail (ironically, we just saw the Bartel's just briefly because the lines were so crazy - they were the ones who told us about the event!). Mmmm!!!
