This Saturday we were supposed to drive to Paris to celebrate Christmas with Grandma Linda and Grandpa David. Unfortunately, Paris received a lot of snow and ice Friday night, so we had to postpone our trip. To help make it up to Sarah, I had the brilliant idea to drive her around to look at crazy Christmas light displays!
The trip started out great! Sarah brought her entire Ellie family (Bumpy Ellie, Softie Ellie, and Mommy Ellie) along for the ride. She got to wear new Christmas jammies and snuggle under a blanket while we drove around. It was great!
And then the night spiraled out of control! As we were heading home from the last house, Sarah threw up twice in the backseat. Thank goodness her blanket kept most of it from landing on the car! Her new jammies were pretty wet, though, and her car seat was a disaster. We rushed home and Tom put her in the tub while I cleaned out the car. She quickly passed out after her bath and slept hard all Saturday night.
I don't know if she was just carsick or if she was actually ill, but by Sunday morning she was feeling great and running around like a madwoman!
