Thanksgiving

Things we are thankful for this year:
Two amazing girls, whose lights shine so brightly
The love and support we can count on from each other
A new cousin on the way
Our wonderful families
Each and every one of our friends

We were especially thankful Thursday morning when Grace came over to play and watch the Dora the Explorer Thanksgiving special with Sarah!

Kate wasn't quite as interested in the show...

Eventually, Gracie headed home and we all got out of our jammies and into our Thanksgiving finest!

Sarah wanted to watch the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade before we headed over to Grammie and PaPa's house for lunch.

Then it was time to EAT!

We spent a little time playing before lunch.  Sarah chose to play with Peter Pan and Captain Hook.  And a barn.

Kate chose to play on the floor.  With a bear dressed as a pilgrim.

The bear was fun, but apparently pretty boring to eat...

Good thing there was turkey to be had!

The spread this year was incredible.  Sarah ate about 4 bites and then went back to playing.  Kate couldn't get enough, though!  She had turkey, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She even had a bit of pumpkin pie!

What Kate loved most, though, was spending time with everyone.  She hung out with Jim for a while...

...then played peek-a-boo with a turkey-stuffed Daddy.

Not to miss out on the opportunity to make people wear ridiculous hats, Grammie make Uncle Adam and Aunt Megan pose for a few pictures, too!

We tried to take a few family photos, but Sarah is pretty anti-camera right now.  I bet Christmas photos will be fun...

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. This might show up twice. We had a great time with the Lee family and Jim actually thanked me for handing Kate to him to hold and play with. Said it made his day. Your girls are adorable and so bright
