Here are the AMAZING photos that Shannon took at Sarah's first birthday!
This is what the house looked like:
Greeting everyone
Catching up with Sarah's honorary Great-Grandma, Jeri
Posing for pictures!
Enjoying some attention from Grandpa Jeff...
...and Aunt Marilyn...
...and Grammie and Daddy!!!
Sarah does NOT like to wear things on her head. Not even a cute flower on her birthday!
It was so nice outside! We spent a lot of time on the deck during her party.
She also spent some time inside, letting people know what she wanted...
...and pulling signs off the wall!
Back outside!
A little snack to keep her going until cake time!
Then back to pulling signs off the wall!
Friends and family...
The kids got to pretend that they made the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. Sarah wasn't too excited about it...
YOU try, Baby Gavin!
The butterfly wings were a lot more fun!
We opened presents...
...and then it was cake time!!! We lit the candle and sang Happy Birthday.
Sarah got the whole top layer to herself!
YUM!!!
To make it the ultimate fun time, we let her have a fork, too!
Eventually, we shared the cake with our guests.
Sarah just kept eating, though.
Grammie helped clean up...
...and Sarah finally said she was "all done" with her cake.
She wasn't all done partying, though! Doesn't the frosting make a great hair gel?
We posed for a few family photos (Tom isn't grouchy - he just never smiles in pictures!)...
...and we let her have one last go as the Very Hungry Sarah! It worked better with Grammie holding her and Mom and Dad holding the sheet.
We had so much fun, and I'm so glad that Shannon and her amazing photography skills were at our party!
