Sarah played her third soccer game ever on Saturday. It was a tough game for her - she was tired from being up late at the BBQ the night before, and she had a little cold that was just wearing her down. Unfortunately, her team of 6 has one kid that refuses to play at all and another kid who spends all of practice and all of the game playing with the grass - usually on a field other than the one we're playing on! This means that the other 4 kids on the team have to play most of the game so that we have a full team of 3 on the field at all times. Those poor kids are just beat by the end of the game!
This weekend, Sarah kept trying her best to help her team, even though she was sick and tired. Because of her perseverance, Coach Brian presented her with the Sportsman of the Week award at the end of the game! Sarah was VERY proud of what she calls her "golden medal," and she was very excited to get to take this big sign home to keep in our front yard all week.
Way to go, Sarah! We're so proud of you for always trying your best, even when it's hard!
