Today was the first day of summer vacation, and boy were we excited! We are lucky enough that our friends, the Talboys, are home all week to celebrate with us, too! And what better way to begin your summer than with a trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead?
The girls started by feeding the chickens.
Then we went to the dairy barn to see the baby goats and calves. Kate was finally big enough this year to sit on one of the big wooden horses! She could have cared less, it seems.
We stopped for a rest on the cow bench...
...and then on the swing!
We fed some baby goats.
Sarah rode a horse.
The big kids had some ice cream.
We fed some big goats.
And we played in the children's garden.
All in all, it was a fantastic way to start our summer vacation!
