The whole the first weekend of our summer vacation (which also happened to be Memorial Day weekend) it just rained and rained and rained. Sarah and I took advantage of a 3-hour break in rain on Sunday, though, and went strawberry picking at Gieringers Orchard in Edgerton!
Before long, our box was full of red, ripe strawberries!
Sarah's hands and mouth were full, too!
And who could blame her? These berries are seriously delicious. Plus, if you've ever picked berries, you know that they taste best when they've been warmed by the sun!
We posed for some photos, climbed on some hay bales, and then headed home before the next round of rain headed through town.
Most of these even made it home with us!
